a. Start with a 400 x 400 px image.
b. Choose a large, thick font. The size of the font I used was around 190.
c. Make your text in a light grey color.
d. Name your text layer "Ice"

a. Add this layer style to the Ice layer

a. Your Ice layer should now look like this.

a. Now make a new layer and move it under your ice layer. Like this:
b. Now merge the two layers. To do this make sure the Ice layer is selected, then go to Layer>Merge Down or Ctrl + E.
c. When you merge the 2 layers together the result will be named Layer # (number being some number, I can't say for sure on your project). Anyway rename this layer Ice

a. Now on the Ice layer, go to Image>Adjustments>Curves... or Ctrl + M and adjust it to these settings.

a. Now adjust the color of the ice layer, go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation... or Ctrl + U

a. Apply this layer style to the Ice layer (Layer>Layer Styles)
b. The color's code is 365383

-Your image should now look like this.
-We are done with the inner core of the ice text, on to the second page to make the outer shell of ice.
