-Now the idea is that these "wings" will cover up the text. Make a new layer and call it Wings.

-Now use the Rectangular Marquee tool and make a selection to be your "wing".

-Make a selection As wide as your text thats important, make sure you do it right. When you have it the right size fill it with black ( Alt + Backspace)

-Now Make a copy of your Wings layer. Layer>Duplicate Layer...

-Using the Move tool Drag one of your copies to the top of the screen and one to the bottom, leaving a line about this thick between them. When you have postitioned them correctly merge them together.

-If you are having trouble with this step you might try moving the layers with the arrow keys (hold shift to move them 5px at a time instead of 1).

-Also if you hit F it will change your view of the image and give you more of a border to work with, so you can see where your layer is.

-With the top Wings layer selected Layer>Merge Layers

-Now take your Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a selection like this.

-Next go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur... with these settings:

Radius: 6.7

-Make a new layer and name it Scan Line

-Make a selection like this with the Rectangular Marquee tool on your new layer and fill (alt + backspace) it with whatever color you want your scanline to be.

-Now go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur... use these settings:

Radius:6.7

-Deselect (Ctrl + D) then hit ctrl + f to repeate the Gaussian blur Filter.

-Now fill in your text. This part you have to figure out on your own, I just used spaces to get the letters in the right spots so it fits with the hexagonal pattern.

-If you have more than one word, make it easy on yourself and have more than one text layer

-Also add a background layer on the bottom, filled with black.

-Now we are ready to jump to imageready. Hit the Edit In Imageready button at the bottom of the toolbar.
