Learn how to make a flowing cloth texture and then distort text or an image to look like it is rippling with the cloth.

a. Start with a 6x2 inch canvas, rgb color, 72 ppi.
b. Fill the background with a color of your choosing, I chose this dark red because it's easy to manipulate. The code for it is AC0909.

a. Click on the Channels Tab in the Layers Palette then click on the new channel button in the lower right corner

b. Then go to Filter>Render>Clouds
c. Finally go to FIlter>Pixelate>Crystalize...
use these settings:
Cell Size: 88 pixels

a. Go to Filter>Stylize>Find Edges
b. Next go to Image>Adjustments>Levels... or hit Ctrl + L use these settings:

a. Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur...
use these settings:
Radius: 15 pixels
b. Now go to Levels again and use these settings:

a. Go back to the layers pallet and click on your background layer.
b. Go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects... and use these settings

a. After you do the Lighting Effects the texture will be rough, to fix this go to Filter>Blur>Blur More.
b. Hit Ctrl + F to repeat the filter until it looks more like this.
-Thats the final product of the cloth effect. On the 2nd Page I will show how to make it look like something is written on the cloth
